This is the new Cadillac XT5 30E, a plug-in hybrid version of the XT5 that is for now only for China. The XT5 PHEV will officially debut on the Shanghai Auto Show in April and launch on the Chinese car market soon thereafter.

The XT5 is made locally by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. Current engine options are a 250hp 2.0 turbo (25T) and a 269hp 2.0 turbo (28T). The 3.6 V6 is not available in China.

The XT5 30T PHEV will combine the 269hp 2.0 turbo with an electric motor, basically the same setup as in the Cadillac CT6 PHEV. Cadillac hasn’t announced the output of the electric motor yet but combined output in the CT6 is 335hp, so it seems safe to assume output of the XT5 30T will be very similar.

We do know that Cadillac claims a 210 km/h top speed, and that curb weight is a hefty 1880 kilo.

Price is expected to start around 550.000 yuan or $80.000.
