This is the new Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS7, the five-seat variant of the seven-seat Trumpchi GS8. The latter is a beautiful car but the shortening of the body for the GS7 hasn’t worked very well, it looks very off-balance at the rear.

The GS7 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and launch on the Chinese car market in early 2017. The GS8 has been delayed a few times but will finally hit the market on October 26, the day after tomorrow. We will cover the launch in a separate post.
The GS7 and GS8 share their platform and engine; a 2.0 turbo with 201hp and 300nm, mated to a six-speed automatic.
Size compared:
GS7: 4730/1910/1770, wheelbase is 2720.
GS8: 4810/1910/1770, wheelbase is 2800.
The rear end with a large third-brake lights, an even larger Guangzhou Auto logo, and a sporty bumper with two shiny pipe tips.
