This is the new Changan Ounuo EV for China, an electric car based on the Changan Ounuo mini MPV. The EV versions looks exactly the same as the petrol version bar for the stickers, Changan didn’t even bother to add some blue detailing.

This the the petrol version. The Ounuo seats seven and is one of the most popular cars in its segment. Price starts at 35.900 yuan and ends at 53.900 yuan. Engines: a 92hp 1.3 and a 106hp 1.5.

The EV version will be powered by an electric motor with an output of 75hp and 170nm. Top speed is 120 kilometer per hour and range is 180 kilometer, which is a bit on short side. The Ounuo EV will be launched on the Chinese car market sometime next year. Price including subsidies will start around 50.000 yuan.

Nothing blue in the interior either. And look at this:

Horrible quality. Drive selector looks incredible crappy. You just can’t believe they put it on a show like this. Changan better fix this before it hits the market!

Big ///E Power badge on the cover, and above that a silver Changan badge, whereas the badge on the grille is in gold. That is messy.

The new Changan Ounuo EV. The minivan segment and the EV segment are both booming, so combining these into an electric minivan makes a lot of sense. But this Changan Ounuo needs some work…
