Spy Shots: Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS4 EV for China
Spy Shots showing the Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS4 EV, a new electric vehicle for China based on the Trumpchi GS4 SUV. The GS4 EV will debut on Friday on the Guangzhou Auto Show, but one example was seen naked and unattended in the exhibition hall. And that’s when we get them!
The EV got a blue grille, blue stripes, blue stickers, and blue alloys (blue = green). The alloys will likely go for the production version but the stickers are probably gong to stay. Chinese car buyers like them, I got a JAC EV in the neighborhood here in Beijing, full with the wildest ‘EV’ and ‘Zero CO2’ stickers.
Specs: the GS4 EV is powered by an electric motor with an output of 14ohp and 250nm. Top speed is 120 kilometer per hour and range is 250 kilometer, perfectly in line with other new Chinese electric cars. The GS4 EV is expected to hit the Chinese car market in the second half of next year.
The petrol version, selling like crazy at the moment. Price starts at 99.800 yuan and ends at 146.800 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.3 turbo with 137hp. A 1.5 turbo will be added to the line-up later on.
