The very first Spy Shots of the Weichai Auto P80 pickup truck for China. The vehicle was seen in the Weichai factory where it was parked next to the new Weichai Auto Yingzhi G5 SUV. The P80 is a full size truck, much larger than the usual compact pickup trucks we see popping up everywhere.
C-pillar is extra wide for a somewhat sporty look. Rear lights are huge. Chrome strips in bumper rather daring. Wheels are much too small.
The grille looks simply brilliant. Loads of shiny chrome with the Weichai name separately on top of all that! Big bumper with big fog lights and big black holes. What not to love? The Weichao Auto P80 will be launched on the Chinese car market late this year. Price will start around 90.000 yuan. Engines: 2.0 petrol and 2.5 and 2.8 liter diesels.
Weichai Auto is a brand new car brand owned by Weichai Power (web), one of the largest Chinese engine makers and sponsor of the Ferrari F1 team. The company is based in Weifang, Shandong Province. Yingzhi is the brand name, called Enranger in English. Their first car, the Yingzhi G3, was launched in August last year.
