The very first spy shots of the SouEast R5 SUV testing in China. The SouEast R5 is the five-seat variant of the seven-seat SouEast R7. The SouEast R7 debuted as a concept on the Beijing Auto Show in April. The SouEast R5 is clearly a shorter vehicle with a sportier stance and design.

The production version of the R7 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December and launch on the Chinese car market in early 2015. Debut of the shorty sporty R5 is expected for the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2015. Power will come from 1.8 liter and 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines, good for about 180hp and 220hp. Price for the R5 will start around 100.000 yuan.
