Spy Shots: facelifted Geely Emgrand EC7 is Naked in China

New Spy Shots of the facelifted Geely Emgrand EC7 sedan, seen here all naked on a parking lot in China. The facelifted Geely Emgrand EC7 will debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show later this month and launch on the China car market in the second half of the year.  The facelift includes new headlights, new rear lights, a new grille, new bumpers, and an updated interior.

The current Geely Emgrand EC7. Price starts at 71.800 yuan and ends at 113.800 yuan. Current engines: 109hp 1.5 and a 139hp 1.8.

The engines will continue in the facelifted Emgrand EC7 and they will be joined by the new 1.3 turbo four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 133hp and 186nm. The 1.3 turbo will be positioned between the 1.5 and the 1.8.  The 1.3 turbo will be used to power many other Geely’s in the near future as the downsizing trend continues to gather steam in China, albeit slowly.
