A giant tree on the back of a flatbed truck Spotted in China in central Beijing. Spring time = tree planting time in the capital, with thousands of trees moving in town from tree plantations in the faraway suburbs and countryside. This particular tree was already in bloom and thus rather late for the season.

The tree looked very healthy but was already gathering garbage. This will, sadly so, get much worse after it is planted, with Beijing citizens being experts in throwing away rubbish in trees, no matter how high.

The truck, a standard blue FAW, war carrying yet another much smaller tree. Transporting trees like this is officially forbidden in China, dangerous and such, but in reality nobody cares, and some trees are much bigger again. Things do go wrong now and then, last July we had a tree truck hitting a minivan.
