The new Lifan X50 will debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show starting on April 20. The Lifan X50, seen here in a very sporty dress with a bull bar and fancy stickers, is a new small crossover-SUV that will launched on the China car market in the second half of the year, positioned below the Lifan X60.

The Lifan X50 is based on the same platform as the upcoming Lifan 530 sedan. Power:  a 93hp 1.3 or a 102hp 1.5, both mated to a five-speed manual or a CVT. Price of the Lifan X50 will start around 60.000 yuan and end around 90.000 yuan, battling in one of the most competitive segments of the Chinese auto market.

Size: 4100/1722/1540mm, wheelbase is 2550mm.

Exhaust pipe hanging around in nowhere land under the bumper, just like on the new Lifan 820, and the wheels are rather small. Otherwise a nice looking little car that certainly will find a few buyers, moving Lifan up from very-small volume automaker to small-volume automaker.
