Spy Shots: China-made Audi A3 sedan is getting ready for the Chinese car market

New spy shots of the China-made Audi A3 sedan, showing the small Audi is getting ready for the China car market. The latest reports in Chinese automotive media suggest the Audi A3 sedan will be launched on the China auto market in the second half of 2014. The A3 will be made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture.

The Audi A3 sedan will be imported into China until local production starts. Price for the imported A3 sedan is expected to start around 250.000 yuan which is almost as much as a new locally-made Audi A4L which starts at 272.000 yuan. Price of the locally-made A3 sedan will start around 210.000 yuan. The Audi A3 Sportback will be made in China as well, production will start late this year.
