A sleek Ford Mondeo police car, seen on the same motorway in Chongqing City where we met a Hongqi L5 earlier today. Chongqing is home to the factories of the Chang’an-Ford joint venture which makes the new Mondeo for the Chinese car market, and in China local police prefers to buy local cars. The old Ford Mondeo was used by Chongqing coppers too, painted in black and looking more scary than this white-blue new car.

The new Ford Mondeo was launched in China in late August, price starts at 179.800 yuan and ends at 265.800 yuan. Engines: 1.5 turbo and 2.0 turbo.
