Spy Shots: Peugeot 301 is Naked in White in China
New spy shots showing a white Peugeot 301 all-naked in China. The production version of the Peugeot 301 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and will be launched on the China car market around the same time. Price will range from 80.000 to 130.000 yuan.
Power will come from a 1.6 with 114hp and 150nm, a 1.2 turbo will follow in 2014. The Peugeot 301 is basically the same car as the new Citroen C-Elysee that will be launched later this year as well.
The 301 and C-Elysee are made in China by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture and will compete head-to-head with the new Volkswagen Jetta, the new Volkswagen Santana and the new Skoda Rapid. A French-German battle on Chinese grounds!, sure the local Chinese auto makers might want to join the fight? Right?
