The China-made Mazda CX-5 will be launched on the Chinese car market in August with pre-sales to start in June. The Mazda CX-5 will be made in China by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture. The Mazda CX-5 is currently imported into China with price starting 233.800 yuan. Price of the locally produced CX-5 will start just under 200.000 yuan.

The Mazda CX-5 will be available with two four-cylinder engines: 2.0 and 2.5, mated to a 6-speed manual or six-speed automatic. Drive train: 4×2 or 4×4. The Mazda CX-5 will compete with fine vehicles such as the Ford Kuga, the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Honda CR-V. The CX-5 has a good chance to sell well, because even the expensive imported version is already quite popular.
