New spy shots from the Brilliance H120 testing in China. The Brilliance H120, formerly known by its code name ‘Brilliance A00‘, is a new small hatchback that will debut on the Shanghai Auto Show later this month and it will be launched on the Chinese car market in the second half of this year.
The vehicle on pics loox very ready to roll. Size wise it is about the size of the Toyota Yaris and it will compete in the same segment, meaning price will start around 50.000 yuan.There will be three engines: 1.0, 1.5 and 1.5 turbo, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic.
Interior design on the funky side again, center console rather cool. Gear lever loox very techy.
The H120 is Brilliance’s first entry into the very crowded small hatch segment. Competition is fierce and margins are low, but the numbers are high and Brilliance likely hopes H120 buyers will buy a bigger Brilliance once they outgrow the H120. Brilliance has a strong brand name a a good reputation, so if they can sell the H120 cheap enough it must be able to make a punch.
