Spy Shots: new Mercedes-Benz E-L testing in China
Mercedes-Benz recently released the first photos of the new 2013 E-class, and today we have the first photos of the new E-L testing in China. The E-L is a stretched variant of the E-class, made in China by the Beijing-Benz joint venture. The new E-L will be launched on the Chinese auto market in the first half of this year.
The current Beijing-Benz E-L. Price starts at 488.000 yuan and ends at 698.000 yuan. Available are the E200L, E260L and the E300L. This translates at: 184hp 1.8 turbo, 204hp 1.8 turbo, and a 231hp 3.0 V6. Chinese media report that the new E-L will likely be available with a new ‘E400L’ 333hp/490nm 3.5 V6 engine. That would be the most powerful Benz made in China so far.
