Tianjin-Xiali police car from China

A still very smooth Tianjin-Xiali TJ7101 police car, seen, where else?, in the great city of Tianjin where the Xiali factory stands. The Tianjin-Xiali is based on the 1983 Daihatsu Charade, production in China started in 1986 and continues until today. The Xiali TJ7101 was made from 1999 until 2007.

The vehicle seems small and underpowered for a police car but for sure it was very cheap, the base model went for 30.000 yuan and came with a tiny 1.0 three-cylinder, good for a 110km/h top speed, so the bad guys need at least something faster than that…
