New Volkswagen Jetta will be launched in China in January 2013

The new Volkswagen Jeta will hit the Chinese auto market in January, it debuted in late August on the Chengdu Auto Show. Earlier on we heard the Jetta would be launched before the end of this year but apparently there has been a small delay. The Jetta will be priced from 70.000 to 110.000 yuan.

Engines: 1.4 and 1.6. The Jetta will be made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture in two factories; one in Chengdu and one in Changchun. The new Jetta stands on the same PQ25 platform that also underpins the new Volkswagen Santana, the Skoda Rapid and the Seat Toledo. The Skoda Rapid will be made in China as well, production will start sometime next year.
