Volkswagen Scirocco with a fat-ass body kit in China
Another fine spot from Beijing, this is a very nasty stealth-gray Volkswagen Scirocco with a fat-ass body kit, seen in the same parking lot as the pink Ford Focus we met earlier today. The body kit brings the Scirocco dangerously close to the road. We very much diggydig the alloys which are painted in almost the same color as the car. Almost.
Wadda plastic! The Volkswagen Scirocco is imported into China and therefore expensive, still, it is a major success for Volkswagen, young ‘n hip buy ’em by the zillion, showing that Chinese car buyers are indeed willing to pay more for an imported car as long as it is special enough. The Scirocco was a big bet since the Golf, and even the Golf GTI, is made in China and costs much less. Bet paid off. Earlier on we met a pink Sciro, a strange Sciro AMG and a Sciro in orange.
