An interesting Skoda Fabia, seen on da street not far from my home in Beijing. This Fabia, see kid looking at it!, is wrapped in matte-purple and comes with a black roof. The original color was blue, easy to see because the moron-owner forgot to wrap the mirrors.

The Skoda Fabia is made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture, it is rather popular, stealing sales from the Polo in typical VW-fashion. Chinese car buyers, mostly female, like the Fabia because they can spec a different color for the roof, they feel this is ‘individual’. The Fabia was in the news recently beccause Skoda will soon launch the fake Fabia RS, fake because it doesn’t come with the 180hp 1.4 TSI but with a China-made 130hp 1.4 turbo. We say: booh! But matte-purple loox nice.
