Chrysler 300C hits the Chinese car market
The Chrysler 300C has been launched on the Chinese car market. There is only one and it costs 486.900 yuan, or 76.000 USD, and that is even more expensive than expected. The reason for this ridiculous price is that the 300C is imported and not made locally.
This is quite bad because all of the competition is made in China, like the Audi A6, BMW 5, Mercedes-Benz E-class and Volvo S80. This serious disadvantage means the 300C won’t sell in high volumes, only ‘real fans’ will buy it for this price. Lone engine is the 3.6 V6. The old 300C was made in China by the now dead Beijing-Chrysler joint venture, but was even then on the expensive side and never very popular.
