Mazda CX5 will be launched on the Chinese car market on July 14
The Mazda CX5 SUV will hit the China car market on July 14. Price will range from 233.800 yuan to 281.800 yuan.The CX5 will be imported into China until local production at the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture starts in late 2013, by then the price will go down by about 15%.
Power will come from a ‘SkyActiv’ 2.0 patrol, good for 165hp and 210nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual. When the China-made CX5 arrives Mazda will also offer smaller engines for the Chinese market. The CX5 will compete with cars such as the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, which are both made in China for many many years.
