The new Lamborghini Urus SUV debuted today at the Beijing Auto Show. Lamborghini’s booth was crowded to the limit and the fine car was well worth it. Finally we know what powers the Urus, it is as expected the 5.2 liter V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570 Super Trofeo Stradale, good for 584hp.

Production is expected to start in 2015 at earliest. Lamborghini wants to make 3000 Urus’ a year for 200.000 USD each. Platform is the same as underpins the Cayenne, Q7 and Touareg. Gearbox is a 8-speed tiptronic manual that sends power to all four wheels. Size: 4990/1990/1660, making it slightly shorter, wider and lower than a Cayenne (4846/1939/1705).

Ass a bit on the fat side.

A great looking machine, aggressive enough and it was very clear that China loved it. Lamborghini indeed, has no choice…
