MG5 listed & priced in China
The new MG5 hatchback has been officially listed on the China car market. Price starts at 87.700 yuan and ends at 128.700 yuan. Power comes from a 1.5 with 109hp and 135nm, mated to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
The MG5 stands on the same platform as the Roewe 350, and will be positioned as a sporty alternative, just like every MG. It certainly got some sporty looks and the interior seems up to par with competition. Sporty details there such as the pedals, dials and gear-knob.
Google Android-based infotainment system, called iVoka in the MG5 and inkeNet in the Roewe 350. Works with a large touch screen and is permanently online. The new MG5 will officially debut at the Beijing Auto Show next month but buyers can place their orders from today.
