Spy Shots: Chery M16 gets a new Front

Chery has been working on the new M16 sedan for more than two years. New spy shots show the M16 gets a new front fascia, that indeed is a facelift during its development process. The M16 will finally debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. The Chery M16 is based on the Chery A3 but will be positioned higher to compete with cars such as the Roewe 350 and Brilliance H530.

There will be four engines: 1.6, 1.8, 1.3 supercharged and a 1.4 turbo. Transmission: 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic or CVT. Wheelbase is about 2700mm. Price will start around 110.000 yuan. In another new development; Chinese media is now reporting that there might be a Cowin-branded version the M16 as well. Cowin is Chery’s budget sub-brand.
