The Citroen C4 Aircross and the Peugeot 4008 crossovers will come to the Chinese car market, both cars will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. The C4 AC/4008 will be imported, there are no plans yet for local production. Power for will come from a Mitsubishi 2.0 with 150hp and 198nm. Price yet unknown but sure more expensive than almost all competition that is locally made.

PSA has two joint ventures in China but the cross-cars are based on the Mitsubishi ASX and will therefore not be built by any Chinese PSA operation. The ASX will be made in China by the new Guangzhou-Mitsubishi joint venture, production will start sometime next year. It is however highly unlikely that the C4 Aircross and 4008 can be made there as well due to China’s strict regulations on what joint-ventures can and cannot make.
