The new Ford Focus has been available in many countries around the world for some two years, but not in China, the largest car market in the world. Ford thinks that makes sense. I think it is extremely strange to wait so long bringing your best-selling car to the Chinese market. When I see that man Mulally on the Beijing Auto Show in April I will ask him about this! Anyway, here it is, the new Focus will finally hit the market in March.

China-made Ford Focus

The Ford Focus is made in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture. The current Focus will continue as a budget alternative likely to be called ‘Focus Classic’. The new Focus will be available as hatchback and sedan. Engines for the Chinese market: 1.6 with 92kw and 2.0 with 125kw. Transmissions: 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, six-speed Powershift, 5-speed automatic. Price will start around 110.000 yuan.
