Spy Shots: Beijing Auto B80V, Mercedes-Benz G-class cloned

Beijing Auto is on the cloning-path again. Earlier on they did the Mercedes-Benz B-class for the BC301, and now they got their hands on the iconic G-class for the new Beijing Auto B80V which will likely debut as a concept on the April 2012 Beijing Auto Show. One black example was seen transported not far from the factory in Beijing. It has all the badges ans loox ready for production.

This is how it will look like. B80VJ on license plate. Car on truck only B80V, and that is what it will be. Just like a G-class indeed, only the front is different, in line with the Beijing Auto B40 that is by la way still not on the market. Wonder what Mercedes-Benz thinks of this? Well, not much, they need Beijing Auto for their Beijing-Benz joint venture that makes the C-class, E-class and soon the GLK-class. This, is China…
