The new China-spec Toyota Camry will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show that starts at the end of this month. The Camry is made in China by the Guangzhou-Toyota joint venture. The China-spec car seems very similar to the European Camry. The spy shots come from a Toyota dealer meeting at what appears to be a race track somewhere in southern China. Camry being a race car indeed.

Note the differences at the front of the black car compared with golden car. Black car is a ‘luxury’ edition, the gold one is the ‘sport’ edition. Two kinds of Camry for China alone… Both cars however will share the same engine; a new 2.5 with 180hp and 231nm mated to a 6-speed automatic. Price will start around 200.000 yuan.
