The Brilliance-Jinbei entry-level SUV has a name: S50. The Jinbei S50 will be listed on the Chinese car market on August 25. Jinbei is a sub-brand from Brilliance Automotive. It makes vans and minibuses. Brilliance wants to use the Jinbei-brand for cheap passenger cars as well.

Power comes from the well known Mitsubishi 2.4, a Mitsubishi 2.0 might be possible as well. Price will start around 100.000 yuan. This sort of cheap ‘n big SUV’s is still very poplar in China, especially in the countryside.
