Toyota has applied for patent in China on the Mark X ZiO suv-wagon-thing. This means the ZiO will soon debut on the Chinese market. The Mark X ZiO is a brother in marketing with the rear wheel drive Mark X sedan, sold in China as Toyota Reiz.

The ZiO however is front wheel drive and will come with a 3.5 V6 or a 2.4 four-cylinder. Whether Toyota will import the ZiO or make it locally is yet unknown. This sort of vehicles are not very popular in China yet so Toyota might decide to try it as an import first.
