Beijing Auto Works (BAW) is brand from BAIC, which stands for Beijing Auto Industry Corporation. BAIC is better known simply as ‘Beijing Auto’. The B70 debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April and is basically a B40 with two extra doors. The B40 debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show but is still not on the market yet. The B70 shares more than a little line with the good old American Jeep Wrangler.

Power comes from a rather old 2.4 four-cylinder with 141hp and 217nm. Earlier we heard BAIC was also working on a more powerful all-new 2.0. A diesel is unlikely as long as there are no plans for export. Price is not sure yet but it will certainly be more cheaper the Jeep Wrangler.
