Beijing Auto will launch a full electric version of the BC301 hatchback and BC302 sedan in the second half of this year. The EV has a range of 130 kilometers, charging takes 6 to 7 hours on 220v, a fast charger will be available for the very few who can install one at home. Battery life is 3 years or 60.000 kilometer.

Chinese press is wondering whether 130km is enough for normal ‘family’ use, thinks it is not. Beijing Auto got a solution for that, the BC301 Hybrid BSG. The development however is not complete, it will hit the market but at a yet to be determined later date.
