The Chevrolet Cruze will get GM’s 1.4 turbocharged engine in China. The arrival of the 1.4 turbo means the end for the old 1.8 and 2.0 engines. The 1.6 and 1.6 turbo (pic) will continue.

The 1.4 turbo has 103kw and 200nm to compete directly with VW’s 1.4 TSI engine which has 96kw and 220nm. The Cruze is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture.
