On pic mr Lu Xiaochun, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He announced new subsidies in the city of Shanghai for green cars. For plug-in hybrid vehicles the max subsidy is set at 20.000 yuan (3078 dollar). For full electric vehicles the max subsidy is set at 40.000 yuan (6156 dollar).

A very large subsidy indeed and together with existing green car subsidies from the central government the total for a full electric can be as high as 100.000 yuan (15.390 dollar). That sort of money could be a reason to get car buyers interested.
