New Beijing-Hyundai Elantra to be Listed on May 23 in China

The facelifted Hyundai Elantra debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show. It is made in China by the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture. It will be listed on the Chinese auto market on May 23. Engines at launch: 1.6 with 111hp and 145nm and a 1.8 with 123hp and 155nm, both mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. A hotter 1.6 turbo will follow later. Price will start slightly below 100.000 yuan.
