Ford Kuga to come to China

Ford will finally bring the Kuga to China this year. Good choice. But there the good news stops, because Ford will bring it in as an import. The Kuga is THE car to produce locally. All competiton is locally produced; cars as the Volkswagen Touran, the Audi Q5, the Honda CR-X, the Toyota RAV4, the Hyundai Sante Fe and soon the BMW X3.

Ford so cannot compete on price, the Kuga will be at least 20% more expensive than the offerings from the competition. Ford seems to know and will only offer the top-spec Kuga with the 200hp 5-cilinder Volvo engine. Price yet unknown, but it won’t be cheap…
